HK Woods was built around a simple belief: the center of a kitchen deserves something substantial.

Most cutting boards are made to be stored away.
Ours are designed to stay.

I specialize in large-format, custom hardwood boards that function as permanent prep stations — architectural pieces crafted to match the scale and intention of the modern kitchen. These are not accessory boards. They are centerpiece surfaces, often 24” x 27” and larger, built to anchor the heart of the home.

Each board is constructed from carefully selected hardwoods chosen for strength, grain character, and long-term durability. I work with premium domestic species and focus on boards that will perform beautifully for years of daily use. Natural variation in grain and tone is not considered a flaw — it is part of what makes each piece singular.

Every board is built to order and crafted individually. Measurements are precise. Edges are refined. Surfaces are finished by hand.

Production is intentionally limited to ensure attention to detail at every stage — from milling and glue-up to final sanding and finishing. The goal is not volume. It is permanence.

When a board becomes this substantial, it stops being a kitchen accessory. It becomes part of the space itself.
